The eldest of five, Amen was known as a big brother to many. Whether it was the U.S. Air Force, where he served for six years with distinction, including multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, or at FactSet, where he was proud to be a team member or on his beloved tennis and paddle courts at Woodway Country Club, Rob was dedicated to the team. Those mentored by him remember Amen for his caring, his devotion, and his humanity.
He was devoted to his wife Kerith and beloved by his daughter, Adair and is survived by his parents Claudia and Rob Amen, his sister-in-law Shannon; brothers Chris (wife Karen), Marc (wife Cristina), and Peter (wife Liz), and sister Caroline.
His life spanned the world, including Florida, Texas, Connecticut, Mississippi, Belgium, France, and the Middle East. His greatest joy was his home and family. He was a generous and kind father and husband. His sense of humor, warmth, and strength will be sorely missed.
Amen's life will be celebrated at a funeral mass on Tuesday, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan. In honor of Rob’s commitment to always put others first, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Wounded Warrior Project.
